Everybody out of the POOL

I had to rip all three of my second socks in Memories yarn. They were pooling to excess, not a stripe to be found. Which means casting on and ribbing again - my least favorite part of the sock. UGH!!! I think I will work on my patterned socks and leave these three on time out until the weekend. The Knit Picks Tweed yarn I am knitting the Bavarian Twist socks in is wonderful. I wish they had a color I could use for my tweed vest. My Pal Carrie sent me some great tips for knitting the cable and twisted stitches on socks. I'll be trying those out tonight.

You should try socks toe up...that way the ribbing comes at the end when you are inspired to finish it.

Hi Jeanne,
I have made toe up socks, I hate that method. What I don't like is the constantly switching between the knit and purl stitch in ribbing. Especially 1x1. 3x3 is okay, but not called for in this particular pattern. Too many moss stitch projects in my past.
